LINGUAL BRACES ARE TAILORED TO YOU

The entire lingual braces treatment, including the brackets and wires, are tailored to fit comfortably on the back of your teeth. As the different elements of this orthodontic treatment are tailored specifically to you, you should experience very little or no discomfort on the soft tissues inside your mouth.

THE TREATMENT PROCESS

The treatment process for lingual braces is very similar to receiving traditional braces; however the braces are bonded to the back of the teeth. Firstly you will be required to attend a thorough initial consultation to assess the positioning of your teeth and the alignment of your jaws. After we have identified that lingual braces are the best treatment to help you achieve a beautiful, straight smile we will discuss the treatment process and the duration of your treatment.

Once you are ready to commence treatment we will use a specialised bonding agent to attach the brackets to the tongue side of the teeth. We will ensure they are comfortable and are stable of the back of the teeth before we thread through the wire which will gradually encourage the teeth into the desired positioning.

At regular intervals of approximately 6 weeks we will tighten the wire in order to encourage further movement of the teeth. Once your teeth have reached the ideal position our orthodontic professionals will remove the brackets and the wire which can reveal a beautiful new smile.
